He was no longer working by the time I setup in Asheville, but everyone still speaks highly of him.

The only sticker inside my bass says "Often played out of tune by Rick Wolff'. Still trying to figure out how to remove that sucker

I was doing a little concert tour in the area (church choir, don’t ask) in the mid 80s and they farmed us out to various church members houses for accommodations. I stayed with an architect and his wife; she played show tunes on piano and he played. Kay that Thomas had put a carved top on. Certainly sounded and played better than my Kay.
In 2016 my late wife and I spent a week in Greenville SC, she wanted to get a new penny whistle so we drive up to George Kelishek (the dad)’s shop. Thomas was still alive at that point, but in decline from his stroke/aneurysm…
