Thomastik JR344 - nickel wound strings

... i've been using nothing but Thomastik JF344 flats for well over ten years ,
so i decided to try some rounds .

i gotta say , the smaller string gauge kinda worried me ,
but so far the tone is awesome .

what's the general consensus on these Thomastik JR344 strings ?
is there a break-in time , and do they lose the brightness ?

anyway , very happy i tried these ,
and now i have at least one bass with round wound strings ...

That's my old thread! I still love these strings but moved on because of price. My favorite similar strings right now? GHS Balanced Nickels. But the TI Jazz Rounds are still fantastic strings.
