thought process while writing lines

Good afternoon JMJ- Hope you are enjoying an unexpected day off...sorry to read about the band health issues...

Had a chance to give a listen to both guero and odelay over and over while sanding drywall in my nearly finished basement today(the music was definitely a bright spot.....sort of surreal..I looked like a dancing caveman from "Quest For Fire"..no Rae Dawn Chong though

I don't know much about Beck..but did you play on these records or did you just tour, as you are doing with NIN?

I really dug the grooves you put together on "Scarecrow" and "Hell Yes(some cool slappy stuff going on)"...

What were your thoughts on those tunes as you wrote the lines(assuming you did)...anything of note on the recording of those tunes?

I didn't play bass on those songs. Those are Beck played parts heavily processed/cut up, and re-sampled. I played on Mutations, a bunch of Odelay b-sides, Midnite Vultures, Sea Change, a bit of Guero, The Information, and lots of other one-off stuff.
