Thinking about getting one and wanting opinions in general from those who own/play one.

I'm not really into modding bottom shelf instruments, and I plan to put TI flats on it.

That said, my main concern is intonation. Anyone use TI flats on these ?

And how muddy is the stock p/up ? Anyone use a high pass filter with these ?

I know the cons of the bridge type already but not really concerned about that, as with TI flats ( or other flats ) I won't be re-stringing it often.

The stock pickup is not muddy. That being said, don't expect tons of high end from it either.

You may want to check the club thread, a lot of folks utilizing these basses including some clips

SG & EB Bass Club

Good luck.
Ah, thanks. I wasn't aware of that club. Will check it out.

I'm not too worried about the high-end anyhow for the stuff I play.

My 2018 Epi Eb-0 feels, and plays great. Strung with D'Addario ETB92S Nylons. My one, and only bass these days.

I have a couple Epiphone EB-3 basses. I bought the first one not expecting much, but it was literally flawless in fit, finish, and execution so I bought another which was equally as perfect. And, I'm not even a huge Gibson fan per se. I also have an SG Supreme Gibson bass, but the fit, finish, fretboard, fretwork, and playability of either of my Epiphones is light-years ahead of my Gibson.

The Epi EB-3"s I had before acquiring this EB-0 were better than most Gibsons I've had over 51 years. This 2018 EB-0 really is flawless. It's my last bass I'm keeping. Strung with the D'Addario ETB92S Nylons, they went right on with no intonation issues. In fact, I've never had to do any intonation resettings on any bass that I strung with the D'Addario ETB92 Nylon series of strings.
