What do you guys think? The sound was a bit rough because it was recorded through a camera (like, a picture camera, not a video camera). I'm pretty proud of the LTTA cover though.

First thing I noticed is that the guitarist kinda looks like a young Alex Lifeson. Drums are activating the limiter/compressor on the camera mic ur using so its hard to hear. Cool bass tone though.

yeah... kinda sucks about the camera mic. through some good speakers, the sound is manageable. There's less low-end coming through which makes my "geddy lee" pedal sound more trebly than it actually did live. I have also dialed back a tad on the treble and presence of the BDDI and boosted the bass a smidge. Also added a Catalinbread SFT to my setup since then to beef the sound up even more. (I've also corrected the wrong F that I played during the "guitar solo" of LTTA to the E that it should be... that was just a brain fart at the time)

That's actually probably not a bad idea man... then we can record audio and video separately.

I wonder what a good digital recorder for some loud live rock music...

First off great tone out of that G&L.

Leave that thing alone is one of my fav's to play, and I've listened to it a million times. The drums sound kinda lifeless, but that could very well just be from the camera mic.

There are lots of little moments in the guitar work on that song that just aren't quite right, and I'm not sure if he's trying to nail Alex's tone or not, because it's just not there.

Overall though, seriously one of the best covers I've seen or heard of this song. Fantastic job.

You guys did a great job with it! I agree that the sound quality could be better but that's the camera's fault. If you are going to post to YouTube a lot I would invest in a small digital audio recorder like the Zoom H2 or H4.

Nice! I will say that the guitarists tone is not quite right. Alex's tone on that song is incredible and I would guess it is hard to nail. You guys sound tight!

As far as my tone goes, I have boosted the bass and dropped the treble and presence slightly.

See, I'm trying to nail a Geddy tone as closely as possible without having to add more gear to my setup, but I think my guitarist is just doing his own thing. He's not trying to copy a Lifeson tone or anything. I'm the Rush fanatic in the band.
