So, I'm ready to "pull the trigger" on a set of Fender Jazz Bass pickups and the frontrunner as of now is the Fender Ultra V Jazz Bass pickups. I was really looking to get a set of the Fender Elite (Gen. 4) Jazz pups, (either new or used) but I can't seem to find a set (for 5 string) anywhere, so the Ultra set seems to be the next logical choice to go in my Fender Player Plus V Jazz; they've overwound and "noiseless", and from what I've heard (via YouTube) comparisons, they're much warmer, punchier and have much more output than the stock Fender (noiseless) pups currently in my Player Plus Jazz. So, since I never got a chance to A/B the Gen. 4's with the Ultra Jazz pups, I was wondering if anyone out there in TB land has had a chance to compare/A/B these two sets and share their/your opinion on them; Which do you prefer and Why?
