Hey all, a few months ago I got back into playing bass. Id say Im about to cross over into the intermediate stage of skill level. I was at local guitar center today looking around. Played with the Jackson JS2 spectra bass for a while. I really like the feel of the neck, the look and the light weight. Sound wise from what I could tell it sounded pretty good but did seem to sound a bit tinny if that makes any sense. Like I would get some tin sounding feedback while playing. Some have said the factory strings on this bass suck. Could that be the case? Would like to hear thoughts and any experiences with this model. I also played a sterling stingray sub ray4 that also felt pretty good and sounded a bit cleaner but it is priced about $150 more. I currently practice on a squire pj bass but I feel like the slim neck of the jackson and the steeling play faster and smoother. Im not super experienced so any and all feedback is appreciated.
