    Hey all!
I was trying to find a well-built stool hat can swivel but without casters that wasn't a pricey timpani throne (I am also a classically-trained percussionist), and after a bit of sniffing around, I found this guy for 36 bucks! Not a lot of loot, and got a ton of solid reviews. I will give you some real-life pics when it gets here next week. Here you go! 1766718.jpg

That looks really nice, especially at that price point. The best feature of the one shown here aside from the seat is the lower foot ring all being one level instead of the staggered rings on most of the wooden ones. It's much healthier for the hips and back.

Much as I'm not a big fan of stools on stage, though to each his own for sure, I found myself at a gig last night with nowhere to sit during breaks and ended up standing all night. FOur hours on stage and load in and out. Man was I tired when I got home. My wife suggested maybe I need a stool so I can sit down during breaks. Hmmm...this looks like a good one.

According to info on the link you provided, it says 29" tall (bar height). Is that accurate?

It looks sturdy and comfortable, but also heavy and cumbersome. That’s a lot of stool to haul around to gigs.

It says 15 pounds....for me, that isn't a big deal. I have TERRIBLE feet, since I survived a flesh-eating bacteria which left me with nerve damage. I gotta do SOMETHING....

29"...looks like that is accurate. I am a short bugger (5-9). We'll see how it "fits" my 29" inseam.
