Thumb + Finger Picking

Depending on the sound I want, I'll occasionally switch to thumb only; usually for a deep round sound for reggae, or ballads

I usually use my thumb, index and middle finger for those pesky let ring types of lines.

I occasionally but not very often will play with the thumb alone, I'll mostly use it to play a quieter passage in a song, or when I'm muting the strings at the bridge.

I tend to use my thumb mostly for picking, my thumbnail is basically my pick. I also do some slapping, finger plucking, and tapping.
