thumb neck

I have a 2003 4 string Warwick Thumb bolt-on, and the guy who previously cranked up the truss rod pretty good, and the fingerboard has small cracks all along its length. While it still sounds awesome but not flawless, I'm worried about the longevity . . . How do I go about getting a new neck/fingerboard/truss rod? And I am still amazed that it sounds as good as it does considering the extent of the cracking!

where are you located? I suggest you take it to a local qualified repair person. Most would be able to replace the fingerboard ...that's all you should need.

i forgot to mention that i can feel the seem of a piece of wood on the back of the neck since the truss rod has pushed that piece of the neck out slightly. (but still sounds great somehow)

ahh, in that case I suggest you contact Dana B. Goods and ask them about getting a replacement neck ...I know they were able to get one for you, I don't know if they still can ...but it doesn't hurt to ask.

yep, i looked on their website and sent them an email asking them as much. thanks. and im in washington dc. assuming i can still get a neck, and since it is a bolt on, is it as simple as screwing the new neck on and getting a tech to adjust the truss rod and action?

yeap. They'll probably ask you for a serial number to confirm the model/year and see what fits, but it should be as simple as you said.

epoxy the fingerboard using system three clear coat epoxy, its gonna require removing the frets and refretting the bass, but its not too hard

Pix? Are you sure the fingerboard's cracked? I've seen people walk in and ask what's wrong their rosewood fretboards - the cracks they were referring to were the grain of the rosewood...
Not to be (overly) condescending, but a little visuals help.
As far as the seem at the laminated neck being felt goes - I can feel one of the wenge-stripes on my RG7321. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, it's just very slight. If you can SEE the joint misalign, that's another story...
