Ok so I primarily am a reggae player and already have an xl2 that I play for everything, especially the reggae stuff. Looking to get an additional bass, not necessarily a backup, just another bass to use as much. I'm intrigued by the thumb bolt on, as well as a jazz bass. Since they are both similar in price used, which one would you recommend? To me, the fender just seems like a great workhorse and solid as hell, and great for my type of music, while the thumb looks cool, but seems a bit more high maintenance, but still looks like it may sound great.
