I recently replaced a Pirastro Chorda D with a Gamut Lyon D.
The Lyon D has a truer pitch in the lower register and continues to sing well past the neck joint, where the Chorda started losing tone.

I'm Using a D and a G. The E and A are steel, and the High C (yes, you read that right) is a Red-O-Ray.
