Thunderbird Club

excellent! thx for posting. originals? if not, not familiar with the songs but they are GOOD….nicely played too, sound like pretty much all fingerstyle?…..pretty massive tone..:bassist::bassist:
Thanks, you're too kind. They were worked up in a few weeks and there are some mistakes. I don't recall about the first of the two. The second, believe it or not, was a Donna Summer song from She Works Hard For The Money album. Donna had become more religious and began including some Christian type songs. We rocked it up and I like our version much better. I was fortunate, most every group I played in liked the bass to be heard. I never had those "can I be heard in the mix" conversations. Not to mention, the Peavey MK III could do some heavy lifting!

Hardly. if so, I need to play that "bad.":smug:

And yes, finger style most likely. I likely used a pick on a few songs that night, but don't recall. The Summer song would have been a possibility for a pick, but don't think so.
and rightfully so….call it bias or whatever but something about Donna Summers and pick bass just doesn’t do it for me….almost like saying Ace of Spades played pizzicato…..
bonus TBird doing Disco?….. that can’t be!… :D

Dang! Pretty frantic, but well done. I've never been in anything that exciting.
Thanks Mike, that particular song was my reaction to a particular cultural situation of the time. I won't get into here other than to say I saw hypocrisy and I was venting about it.
Now that I think about it, I really should start another punk band.

I was feeling a little underwhelmed by the sound of the pickups in my Orville. But I realized they were down kinda low, so I shoved some foam under them and got them adjusted as high as they can go without string contact (well not much contact).
I played at last night’s Code Delta practice and YOWZA! That’s the ticket, especially with a pick:D

Great tone on that funny looking Fender.

Another confirmation there's nothing a Thunderbird can't do, and do very well. Just need someone to play some Bach on one now.
