What’s the ETA on your 383 build? What’s the planned HP? Run on pump gas? Just curious!
I live close to Summit Racing Headquarters and buy most of my parts there (JEG’s too) and I go up there sometimes just to see the displays. They have Cars of the Month, Summit funny cars, NASCAR, All kinds of toys! My wife even digs it.
BTW…I own 5 cars but one car is the dog’s…only car she’s allowed in.
I own way more basses and guitars then cars. Building a parts P Bass right now…which I don’t need!
So it’s actually a 406” sbc.
It will be pump gas. If my math is right, 550 hp and tq
No turbo or nitrous

I had to do some changes, turned out the timeing chain was off by a tad, and the camshaft was 2* faster than ground. So a corrected timing chain with a 2* dufus setting is in it now (last set of pictures)

I just need time to do all of the things. Probably won’t have it ready until late March

I haven’t ridden in a long time but still have the M1. I mentioned to the wife that I’m thinking of getting a Honda Trail 125 to tool around the mountain with. She was not pleased. So maybe I can use that to my advantage when I get my next Thunderbird.
"You're right, honey. I'd be much safer with a Thunderbird since getting hurt in the woods with no one around and me possibly laying there for days with bears just waiting to naw on my legs. Just couldn't happen with a Thunderbird. Thanks for caring and looking out for me. Do you like the Pelham Blue one well enough?"

He should have asked for a 500, then he could negotiate down AND still get a bass

Had a 400. Windsor was Ford only as far as I know--which isn't very far.
that’s right, what was I thinking? must be getting old….lol…replaced the oil pressure gauge in the AMC and thought I blew a fuse when the turn signals stopped working…turns out I hit the hazard switch by accident….ha totally forgot they use to live on the tree…:banghead:..
will re replace doesn’t look good with the old interior imho…

Awesome sounding engine! What are you putting it in? Back in the day one of my buddies had a ‘71 SS 454 Chevelle about same HP. Wow that thing was fast! Sounds like a sweet engine!

I sold my Electraglide in 2018, always kept the shiny side up in 46 years of riding. Try a sxs if you haven't already, fun for both of you.
