Perhaps she was one of the babies born at the festival (there were 3 IIRC)

The signal went through Boss Line Selector that has a Broughton Filter in one loop (high pass on 40hz and low pass on somewhere but usually below 1,5 k) and a Digitech Tone Driver Overdrive in the other loop. It has gain on minimum and the "morph" pot usually somewhere in 2 or 3 o'clock area (so it's kind of emulating one or the other Tube Screamer models). Tonedriver is always on and gives a little bit of grind and if I want it to go to the more overdriven territory I switch a DOD Bi-Fet Preamp on which drives the Tonedriver and with its tone knob I can add more treble or make it sound like the bass has a mudbucker. Not sure if it was on when I made the clip.
The Line Selector mixes the clean and overdriven signals together and that goes through whatever delay and chorus/flanger pedals I have in the board and also through the always on DOD Milk Box compressor and another Bi-Fet Preamp and finally through the NUX Solid Studio IR box. I usually use a Dr. Bonkers' Gallien Krueger 4x10" cab simulator when playing live and it was used for those clips too. I have also several Acoustic 301 and Hiwatt 4x12" cabs loaded in, also from Bonkers.

Very nice. I've been keeping my eyes out to try one of the Tone Drivers after the Bad Monkey's went so crazy price wise. Also debated getting the FX10, though I think I migh grab a Nobels ODR-1s. The HD-1 is fantastic, like I said, usually have it always on with a bit of a clean blend for some uneffected lows, and then at the very end of the board a Chase Tone secret, helps brighten things up and drive everything. For recording at home I've got my board running into an Ashly SC-40 (I have two for stereo recording, one with the diode mod, but one is non-working at the moment), that goes into an Apollo, and in the DAW I've got Amplitube with a DR103 into some Dr Bonkers ACC 1x18 and Sunn 2x15 IRs. It's the first time I've felt recording direct in gets fairly close to my amps.

Actually, now that I think about it, one of the nurses I worked with in the Army (he had been a medic and ended up at Nursing school later in his career) had gone to Woodstock.

And then there are a few venture capitalists (not all, but a few unscrupulous ones) that once they fund a company, charge monthly "management" fees.

I don't believe it. Universities are only there to education the children. They are not there for the money......

At a concert? Oh, yeah.... She was interviewed for a documentary that she said was to eventually be on the History Channel. Also was on a podcast. Which means, she was old enough to know what was going on, and she was one of the 17 people not stoned out of their mind when there. I thought it was cool enough I almost wanted to get her autograph.

Universities (as they would describe themselves) are about research. Teaching is secondary. In fact, the professorial hierarchy has assistant professors teaching undergrads, once promoted to associated professor, they can ditch the undergrads and only teach grad and post-grads. And at full professor, they worry about their research and occasionally pay attention to outstanding students who can be useful to them.

Very cool image Jeff - more Cubists than surreal but I totally dig it. I initially thought Giorgio de Chirico, but couldn't find a painting to correlate - maybe Duchamp...

I've used Tung oil in the past but these days use satin wipe-on poly -

Really informative - unfortunately (or fortunately to a select few) "biz" always f's up the purity of creative effort. The "music biz", the "art biz", the "____ biz" - the "biz" part always f's things up... always.
