@Count Bassie @theFixer

For those 'intrigued' by the Traynor heads, there are very few YBA200 video reviews out there, and most don't actually tell you much of anything, or do the amp justice. This is okay, if short:

This YBA300 sounds pretty close to what I have.

The original YBA200s came with 6550s, while the newer model has KT88s.

Big amp time is a wayz down the road for me, but WOW!!! Yeah... I'd gotta check one of these out!:thumbsup:

So what in the world is happening? Is it the eclipse thing? We had that troll on here recently and just now, out in the GP, some tool is tearing into Jason from Bass Stings Online (of all people). So not only have I learned how to use the ignore tool, I also used the report feature for the first time since I started on here three years ago.

Wandered over for a skeg. Living proof that the adage 'the customer is always right' is absolute bollox.

Jason is a sweet guy and a heck of a bass player, that must be why.

I was shocked to learn that there are no shops in Nashville selling bass strings, it being the home of country music'n'all.

Aye. A pint glass with straight sides or a slight bell as in the photo, a line cut into the side indicating the minimum beer level, and minimal to no head to allow for easy access to beer. No handles or other faux ye olde malarkery. If you want to drink out of a mug, have some tea.

Australia has a multitude of different glass sizes and names for those glasses. For example the standard beer glass in New South Wales is a 'schooner' which is 425ml or 3/4 of an imperial pint (aka 15oz). Apparently in South Australia a 'schooner' is a 285ml glass aka a half pint (10oz), but as I'll likely never go there I don't worry about it.

What we call a 'middy' is called a 'pot' in the badlands of Victoria ... and is the same glass as that half pint the South Australians call a 'schooner' when they're not killing each other.

Is that where Australian rules football is?

Good info, though. Now I won’t sound like a total idiot when I finally make it over there.

It's all good. That dude appears to be gone, and Jason, who has always come off as a stand up guy, still stands.
