Ok so I'm sold! I'm in, I got the bug.... Now it's time to start saving for the Classic Pro in white Tonight was the first practice with the Goth and man did it shine. The tone isn't where I'd like it to be, close but that has to do with the dead DR Red Devils. I think those were just a bad set of strings and I'll use them until they need to be replaced. I ordered a single G string just to get by since that one is really dead. But what a comfortable playing bass, it just felt right slung low and rockin! And it helps when the wife says that's my favorite one so far and let's look at getting the white one.

You will love the Classic Pro in white! I worked all day, 10 plus hours, then went to have my bass lesson with my customized Goth. It was a blast, my teacher dug my progress which was cool. And when I got home I had dinner and then straight to my music room for more than an hour with my Classic Pro! Other than the long ass day at work, the last three hours were FANTASTIC and the best part was the Classic Pro so definitely go get one. You won't be sorry!

Haha it's amazing how much the wife has to do with everything.
I doubted I would have been able to bring the Gibby home after all the gear I've adopted lately, but she thought it looked so pretty that she practically handed it to me

On another note, the gothics have the ceramic pups and sound really dark, strings might help, but didn't change my old one a lot. Very boomy.
Had planned on going to TBHZ, but then along came my classic...

Thanks man! After the great divorce sell off in '06 I won't part with anything anymore lol

Actually considering picking up an 810E. I just need something lighter and easier to move around lol.
Both mesa diesels are over 100lbs.
410 is 120 and I lost the casters, 210 has to be about 100

Tonight, i'm going to file the edges to re-create the red binding of before, but better against the newly black background. hopefully wednesday, i can shoot it with some semi-gloss clear and wait two weeks for it to be re-assebmled for good, strung up set up and played. Months of unplayed, will be re-wroking on my bands music and driving low end. My old guitarist is propbably gonna rejoin. Another dude i wanna meet is in ottawa where my dad lives and hopefully, i'll find a drummer down there too. Kick off with the new bird, new year, new old band.

Harbor Freight carries removable casters for pretty doggone cheap. A lot less than the Ernie Balls, at any rate.

Here was mine. Got it in a trade for an aquarium. Kept it for a few months and then sold it. Just not my thing. Strangely I do miss it though.

Great bass! I used a Warmoth 5er neck for my 12er, more than up to the task. Where's the thread on your build?
