What build is this Carlo??

My "OD" pedal MXR M85. It's a weeeee bit more aggressive than an OD.:D

I had an EHX Bass Soul Food that sounded really good, but with my band it was like it wasn't even there. That is a great pedal that isn't great for tuned down heavy rock/metal. The M85 can out-obnoxious any tone our guitar player can come up with.

Old piece of Ebony? I'm hearing by the grapevine it's becoming an edgy affair, building with, even buying or travelling with a black Ebony product in some countries.
Certain species of ebony (Brazilian?) sales are illegal, this isn't one of them.

Fantastic colour.

Thinking about ordering one of these:

Hope they fit the TBird as they are descriped as FBird TR-covers. I think they look way better than the Gibson's 1 ply. They also have them in white:

Didn't mean to come off accusingly... I was over in the general population and we were all coo-ing over how cool black Ebony is, and there came a great chiming-in about how certain countries will confiscate first-born children and the contents of your home studio if they find guitars with Ebony on the fretboards...

I didn't take your comment negatively. Generally I agree with conservation efforts and assume my suppliers are compliant until informed otherwise. This stuff has a slight bit of variation to it which makes it more interesting to me.

I have an '86 Ibanez Pro-Line bass, Japanese, with an Ebony fretboard. I really like the look and the effect it apparently has on the sound it lays down. Had a Peavey with Ebony too once, Dynabass Unity. Great axe, I've been too many times a fool with my instruments.

Anyway I dig the jet-black Ebony. May not be seeing any more of it though, so I guess I'll keep my Ibby! Maybe I'll splice it up to a T-Bird carcasse...
