I have an '06 Gibson T-bird that I really like, and am strongly considering doing a Fenderbird build - what aftermarket T-bird pups would be good choices???

I'm doing a couple fenderbird builds right now. I'd suggest either the thunderbuckers or the Lull tbird pups. I personally went with the thunderbuckers
Check out Bartolinis' Thunderbird styled pick ups (I think they're model #TCHC-4)
Their website kind of sucks but if you dig around or call they'll point you in the right direction.
I replaced my stock Deans with a set a while back and was very pleased.

If authenticity is important to you, there's really only one choice.
Mike Lull.

I can't see where to order them on his site, will he sell them apart from the basses or do you have to find someone crazy enough to have removed them.
Just call the shop, mike himself may even answer ; )
I actually know that from experience, I was trying out a couple Lull's and had a question about a gain difference between two different models and when they called, sure enough, Mike was on the phone (at, like, 8:30am Seattle time on a Saturday).

Just out of curiosity and perhaps ignorance, but why do you want to replace the original TBird pups?
Read his post again?
I read it just fine the first time. I may not be knowledgeable about Fenderbird builds, but I have excellent reading comprehension. Thanks so much for your helpful response.
He's not replacing his pickups. He needs another set for a bass he wants to build.
Oh, OK, so the TBIRD has nothing to do with the Fenderbird build. So a Fenderbird is a modification of a Fender with TBIRD pups.
