Thunderbird pickup suggestions

Check out Bartolinis' Thunderbird styled pick ups (I think they're model #TCHC-4)

Their website kind of sucks but if you dig around or call they'll point you in the right direction.

I replaced my stock Deans with a set a while back and was very pleased.

I've looked into them, but my experience with Barts is that they're typically a little more "polite" than the pups in my current T-bird... I'm also considering some Seymour Duncan soapbars, with trim rings...

I actually know that from experience, I was trying out a couple Lull's and had a question about a gain difference between two different models and when they called, sure enough, Mike was on the phone (at, like, 8:30am Seattle time on a Saturday).

Yea, and they do sell just the pickups, their a little pricy but TOTALLY worth it. One and done, you'll spend more trying different ones-

I'd just call the shop if you want some, they usually have chrome ones on hand, the offer other finishes as well - Polished Nickel, Raw Nickel, Gold and Black. Yes, they're expensive and totally worth it. Mike's THE MAN!

He's not replacing his pickups. He needs another set for a bass he wants to build.

Oh, OK, so the TBIRD has nothing to do with the Fenderbird build. So a Fenderbird is a modification of a Fender with TBIRD pups.

I was curious because I just bought a 2013 Les Paul bass with the TB pups and I was wondering if they were not thought highly of. I read another comment where a guy was saying that he would replace the TB pups with sidewinder pups.
