Anyone know what kind of strings tim commerford plays with?? Yes Im looking to cop his tone as it is delicious and I just got my svt 2 pro! I currently use ernie ball super slinky and they just die so fast. Any suggestions?

Get you some Blue Steels and keep them clean. This won't get you Tim C's tone though. It isn't the strings. Several amps ( I think a tube Marshall for dirt, or possibly a governor pedal) Fender bass. See if you can get Tim to wind you some pick-ups since he winds his own. lol

I've actually read Tim uses Flatwounds.. hard to imagine though. But maybe that's the only way he can keep the skin on his fingers....maybe urban legend..

I heard that too, but when I say heard I mean someone on here said it, meaning it wasnt true :). Type in Tim Comerford strings on Google and there will be some pages about how is endorsed by EB...and uses Nickel rounds.
