Time for a new bass, thoughts and suggestions?

So i've been playing for a year now and the epiphone embassy standard IV is getting a little old. It won't tune to save it's life, the intonation is sharp and the neck couldn't be more bowed. you would think it's just poorly setup, but really the bridge is too close to the neck and the truss rod bends the neck funny.
So i've decided on a price range and gone hunting for some tones and styles that i like. i've found a couple models that i like but i have some questions.

Models:

-LTD F-414FM (leaning here, it's metal)

-Schecter stiletto studio 4

-Schecter hellraiser 4

-other suggestions under $750

Questions:
-what are your opinions on these models?
-what are your expereriences with these brands?
-Is the quality difference between an ESP and an LTD really noticeable? The difference from Epiphone to Gibson is steep and so is Squier to Fender; ESP-->LTD?

It should be noted that i'm looking for a "metal tone" something deep that can roar like a harley with some distortion. Low action and fast necks are the goal.

Any suggestions and information are very helpful, thanks a bunch.

IMO the electronics are rather mundane so you would need to replace them, I also find the bass to rather fugly but to each his own.

-Schecter stiletto studio 4

Nice bass, much better electronics than the above LTD.

A new G&L L2000 Tribute or used USA L2000. The electronics and versatility will blow away all of the above giving you the ability to dial in as much aggression or civility as you so choose.

With far better build quality than any of the above, especially in the used USA L2000.

Yes, it is equally as steep a difference between ESP and LTD. Think Infiniti vs Kia.
