Time limit for editing posts?

Hi, I have a series of posts I’m working on. As I write them I add links in the first post of the thread. It appears there is a time limit to editing. Due to taking a break in writing I seem stuck with a first post that is incomplete if I want to add more links to the appropriate posts.

I was a bit naive thinking I had unlimited editing time (like on some other forums). Any suggestions on how to fix that? Can editing be opened up again, or can something else be done easily? (The next instalment isn’t written yet, but I was planning on it this week.)

The thread in question: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/ibanez-basses-1979-1987.1363412/

It seems to have been removed entirely, or changed to a matter of minutes...

Seems like it's 60 minutes.... I can no longer edit or delete the post above.

I believe the time limit got switched to 30 minutes. Supporting members that post in the classifieds still have the ability to indefinitely edit their post.

I just noticed I used the word "virtuous" instead of "virtuouso" in a post earlier today. But I'm too late to edit it. I was also going to edit in some direct links as my post linked to a website, but not the direct links to the new content referred to, and I want to be fully compliant with the forum rules. This particular rule is one that I'd somehow missed previously.

Actually wanted to edit a post of mine from earlier this morning (which i had posted via my web browser on android) - & realized i could not edit it on my desktop. Figuring perhaps it was due to posting on android, i went there, & no edit nor delete button. Strange? So back on the desktop, & i realize i can't even edit the slightess of my original post (misspell nothing more). I'm not one to delete posts of mine, i've editted a fair bit when i wanted to post a photo to an already existing reply with success in the past.

After a decade of being on talkbass, this is an actual first for me not being able to edit a post of mine.

Paul addressed this and expanded the window almost a month ago and it seemed like no one noticed.

Post Edit Window Expansion + Guidelines

Thanks for the clear up, perhaps most of us didn't notice until we checked our own posts later on in the day wanting to edit but unable to (at least for simple members - not support or gold). But all is well will be vigilante when posting & insure it's complete beforehand.

Cheers!

After a year away from TB I was going to do another supporting membership and sell some gear on the site. I’m happy to pay for that. Having to pay to edit my general forum content? Not a ******* chance.

I’m sure you’ll miss me as much as I’ll miss you.

You once called TalkBass a “wasteland of mediocrity”... but welcome back, I guess?
