Tips on mixing metal?

Okay *takes deep breath*. I''ve just recorded a metal song for a two man project. Its really just a demo, and I'm using MIDI drums (yuck!) but I need help mixing the damn thing so it sounds fairly decent. I have drums, bass, 1 rhythm guitar, two lead guitars, keys and vox.

So, can anyone perhaps give me a run down of some things I can do? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Use your ears, then when you think you have a decent mix burn it to a cd and listen to it in your car. Then go back and tweak anything you think needs to be tweaked. If you could post the song that you recorded up, with a mix of what you did, i'm sure people would give you their opinions. Of course being on here you'll probably get a hundred replies from people saying "Turn the bass up."

I think metal with obvious, distint bass would be awesome. And not just for bassists, the darker tone of the bass would probably make the song heavier.
