Titanium or Graphite rods?

I'm an old bass player from when I was at school. At the time no reinforcements for our cheap and unaffordable necks....only rusting truss that prevent the decay of the time.

Nowadays there are some reinforcements, but are better carbon rods or titanium rods? Carbon rods could not damage if Truss is improperly used?

Plenty of premium necks out there with graphite rods. I’ve never seen one with titanium rods, not sure why. Maybe the cost doesn’t align with any increased utility over graphite.

I think the graphite is lighter than titanium and believe there is some level of titanium in the graphite used in the rods.
