Tobias Or Esp LTD

Thats a epiphone entry level bass, for toby std. With J pups, cut only for eq which makes it poor choice imo preamp wise. The esp ltd b104 is better bass imo. Soapbar pups and active 2band eq with boost and cut. But saving up a little more and getting the esp ltd B154dx would be nice step up from the 104 with 3band active eq, basswood with maple top and better hardware.

I was thinkin' about the b205

I returned a Tobias Standard (the newer epiphone one) and grabbed a LTD J205 in natural ash. The Toby felt and sounded cheap. It was VERY cool looking in person, but felt like a cheap bass.

The LTD feels like a well built bass, sounds stellar, and is worth well more than I paid. I got it used in perfect shape for 250.

Edit: Also look up the preamp in the Tobias, they made the mid shift range of frequencies horribly unusable in a band setting.
