Tone capsule by dark glass not working?

I'm following the given diagram and it does not work.
I tried with no preamp and the bass goes fine.

How could I test if the preamp is failing?

the hi mid (treble) does not affect tone at all

Hello. Have you guys found a solution yet? I tried a new pot and a replacement pcb from darkglass but not seeing a discernable difference with the hi-mid knob. I wonder if there is something im still missing.
