Tone Hammer with an Active Bass

I got this SR506 with an OBP3 that sounds good but it's super low output. I know the OBP doesn't add gain so i was thinking about adding the Tone Hammer to my setup. Would that be a little overkill? I just need more overall output and the ability to add a little drive on certain parts. I also like the idea of having a parametric mid control wich the obp-3 does not have.

Active pre + outboard pre is not a problem right ?

The Aguilar Tone Hammer pedal with an active bass is a nice combination. The drive is very organic. You should have no problems at all.
