Tone pots -- need numbers

I have a Hwy 1 jazz with the new Grease Bucket tone control -- I like the way it rolls the highs off, but I wish it went further & deeper. The Geddy has a tone pot I like more, b/c it does deeper & muddier tones.

Can anyone tell me what numbers I need to know about mine compared the Geddy tone pot? (i.e. -- hwy 1 is a "___" and the Geddy is a "____" cap) I don't know if I need cap info, pot info, etc... I am very new at this.

OR, is there a way to keep my same tone pot, yet make it go further & deeper?

thanks, jh

You should be able to get the effect you want without changing the actual pot. Just swap your existing capacitor for one of a higher value. Capacitors are dirt chep compared to pots, so you should be able to buy a few different values and experiment with them until you find the one that suits your needs.
