Tones - Another "Small hands" post.

Hey whats up everybody? Just bought my first bass. On a whim I picked up a 34" Spector Legend Classic on eBay. I had been thinking about buying a bass for a while and I just jumped in. Got it yesterday and it reminded me how damn small my hands are. I have checked a few of the posts regarding this on here but I would like to pose this question...

Tonewise, I would like something more in the vein of Motown/Stax/Hi records, music.

If I were to return this bass and pick up a shorter scale bass, will I be able to get that buttery soulfullness out of it? :bassist:

Sounds like practice is what you need:ninja::p

lol I literally touched a bass for the first time last night. Also, I broke my pinky a while back and didnt realize it was broken till it was too late, so its a little crooked/funny.

I am just checking all the angles, after the fact. lol

1) I don't think a Spector is really what you're looking for in terms of that sound. The pick ups suck in a Legend Classic anyway.
2) "Small" hands isn't really a big deal. I play a 35" scale 6 string and wear a medium size glove. Poeple are surprised I can play my bass but I have no problems.
3) How on earth do you break your finger and not know it? I broke my pinky YEARS ago and I can tell you I KNEW it right away. Besides hearing the pop, my finger was crooked as hell.
