Well, would you look at that. I'm already filled with some more questions. ;)

I have found myself rethinking things alot after my last post (the tall order) and have started to think small scale. Keeping fairly traditional to my last post, I still wish to attain a fairly tube-esqu tone with a VT pedal but am now looking at the lightweight world of SS amps such as...

-GK MB2-500
-Markbass FM1
-Little Mark III
-Ibanez Promethean
-GB Shuttle 6
-I will also consider the GK 700rb-II as it is not heavy by any means and otherwise would seem quite comparable.

So out of these I am asking for any and all input in relation to what each can sound like with the addition of a VT and which are generally just more reliable amps. Personal preferences completely welcome as long as you can explain youself.:)

Anyone up for more of my spur-of-the-moment nonsense?:D

Ya, don't buy by consensus. Just get the rig you want and don't worry about what others think.

Having said that, I use an LMII with my VT. Any of those amps would be fine, though.

My answer's still pretty much the same:

LMII or III,
Shuttle 6.0,
or a 700rb-II

...and a VT pedal... Don't be afraid to buy any of those used to save a few $$$ - they all have excellent track records...

The MB2-500 doesn't have a good track record for reliability just yet, and the Ibanez is too new in that regards, too - atleast, that's how I see it...
