Tool "jambi" effects

I was just wondering on the song jambi what effects Justin uses especially after the first verse I was thinking it's an octave pedal, anybody know?

The only thing I know for sure is that this is one of the only songs where I've heard bass used with delay successfully. Other than that, I don't know what he used.

If you're referring to the bridge part, that's a flanger.

What he said. After the 1st verse there is a flanger which is then followed by the delay section.

I personally think Jambi should be essential listening for all bass players who use effects that would be considered too "out there" for most players. It's like a Phd level course in how to carve out space in music so these effects like delay and flanging can be heard and more importantly discerned. Very deep tones in that song, besides being an amazing piece of music. I saw Tool on the 10,000 days tour, but before the arena shows. They were doing a run of small theaters. Saw them here in NYC and it was intense. Can't remember if they played Jambi or not though.

There's some obvious overdrive being used on that song as well. I don't think if it's just from an overdrive preamp or an actual effect unit, though.
