You're right...it IS "live in the studio" (all one take) but not in front of an audience.

It's a hell of a recording, though.

I love "Bursting Out" as well and their DVD "Living With The Past" is also excellent.

Kings X's "Live All Over The Place" is worthy of an honorable mention

Frank Marino & Mohogany Rush - "Live" has always been a favorite of mine

Peter Gabriel - "Plays Live" is excellent and I love the first Genesis "Live" album even though "3 Sides Live" is better.

Niacin - "Blood Sweat and Beers"

Kansas - "Two For The Show"

Another DVD concert I'd recommend is Robin Trower "Living Out of Time" is great and of course his '75 "Live" album

I like Journey's "Captured" album though I think there was quite a bit of studio "patching" that went on there.
