I'm looking to upgrade my amp and the two that I have my eye on are these: Line 6 Low Down LD400 Pro and the Fender Rumble 350. Both are at the top of my pricce range. I have played on the Fender at Guitar Center. The other I cannot find in any guitar store here. What's sad is that I live inb the live music capitol of the world but stores here are all chains and most only stock the low end and a little very high end stuff. Nothing in between. Anyway, does anyone have any experience with the Line 6? Of course I will accept any other suggestions. Thanks.

For the price of the Fender Rumble 350, you can also get several different configurations of the GK MB series combos. Not saying you'll like it better, but you should definitely check them out. Those GK combos are easily found in Guitar Centers, etc. I think the Line 6 products will almost never be on display... internet only.
I forgot to add that I need more power than my 180w 1x15 because too many times I have people sayin' they cannot hear my bass over three guitars, drums and three vocalists. Also, I play with active pickups. Thanks for the responses so far. I'll try to look for those GK's 
If you need more volume, forget combo amps, unless they're capable of adding an ext cab. Volume is produced by speakers, so more of those is what you need. I'd be looking for a used head in the 300 watt neighborhood, and at the very least, a 4x10 cab.

What amp do you currently have? Is it possible to add another cab to what you already have?

My friend plays in Fort Worth with a Line 6.. He loves it.. I think it is terrible... Just my opinion.... I guess many like them though.. You can get alot of different sounds but I like the Fender series amps.. Played on at a rehearsal studio a few weeks ago and it was way better then i thought it would be.
Im not all down on Line 6,I have a line 6 Bass POD Xt pro that i use in sessions at times.. But not on gigs.
I dont have the combo amp though..
You may be able to find something used on Craigslist in Austin TX area... Also try South Austin Music on Lamar.. They have lots of used stuff

The Ashdown's a nice sounding combo, but if memory serves me correct... you can't add another cab to it.
I'm not familiar with the Fender Rumble you're thinking of, but I did look at the specs and it looks like a nice rig. Again, this is just me looking at paper specs, no real world experience.

It'll take another cab. In almost six years I have yet a single complaint with it. Sound is very clean and quiet when I'm just muting my strings between songs.
So if you add another cab to it, you'll get (1) more wattage out of it, and (2) perhaps double your speaker area. That would give you a noticeable boost in volume.

I found a Carvin BX500 and a SWR Goliath cab on Craigs list for under $500.00. Very good sounding rig. Tons of tone shaping on the Carvin, 500 watts and five lbs. I don't have to worry about being heard!
Yes, if you're Ashdown combo can take an ext cab, that's the cheapest and easiest way to increase volume, and gain a little headroom to boot. If it's a 1x15 combo, look for as close to exactly the same ext cab. Dopn't worry about wattage ratings on the ext cab, just that the impedance is 8 ohms, and if it's sealed or ported. Of course, a matching Ashdown 15 cab would be ideal.
