PT visit #2 today. #1 was on Tuesday and it was pretty good. PT lady was very happy with the results of the surgery, and though things were tight she says that's better than being too loose! Learned some home excercises that I have done a little bit. They make me pretty tender when done. Don't wanna push it. Today I got some ultrasound work on the shoulder with her doing the manipulation and me just being passive, then 10 mins of ice. Feels ok tonight. I had realized I hadn't taken anything for pain since Tuesday before bed. Could be why I'm a little sore. Play a gig tomorrow night, Tues go see my surgeon's PA then back to PT on Thur of next week. All in all, I am feeling pretty good and I think I can stick with my stretching exercise regimine pretty well. PT lady said overhead range of motion will come in leaps and bounds - lateral and anything reaching back will be slow. I, too, think I'm in it for at least 90 days.
Did three rehearsals over the past couple weeks and I have to say I feel better than I expected. The guys are gonna move all my gear into place. All I have to do is get the strap over my head and I'm good to go. Really looking forward to the gig tomorrow night. We have six in the next four weeks. It'll test my stamina!
