Toronto Jazz Pianist learning the bass

Having played with all the great bassists living in Toronto, I
decided to become one myself. Two and a half years after
buying a Strunal Hybid from Heinl's and on-going lessons from classical bassist/luthier Troy Milliker, I can play functional jazz bass.

Unlike the piano, where one can play pitches without having to hear them, the double bass demands real hearing.

I'm having a blast with the bass and enjoy reading the forums
on Talk Bass.
Best wishes,
