I had an exciting day landing at Torrance Airport today. They had a B-17, B-25, B-24 and a P-51 Mustang on display and were selling rides to the public.
Coming in to Torrance Airport, Mrs Stewie communicating is with ATC getting a landing clearance. A few minutes later, a P-51 passed me at my 9:00, ( left side) doing about 300+ mph.
He went by so quick I could not get the camera around fast enough.

"Lucky Dog" is one of the most relaxed passengers I have fly with me.

After exiting the runway, ATC ground control asked me to hold my position and allow the P-51 to pass by. I thanked them for the photo op.

After parking the plane we went down the tarmac for a closer look. Here is the B-25, one of my favorite planes.

Here is a closer look at the P-51 Mustang. That lucky guy standing in the cockpit just got the ride of his life. It is still on my bucket list.

They also had a B-17 Flying Fortress and I snapped this photo as we were taxing by it. Such history! I have heard it said by some old timer pilots that if we did not have the B-17, we would all be speaking German right now.
