Just descended out of some very nasty storm clouds. Pretty much got the poop knocked out of us when in the clouds. :woot: :poop:
One of those rare days when I wished I was on the ground instead of the air.

Between the seats console - The nerve-center of an Airport Operations vehicle.

Top to bottom: Police/Fire radio, Comm. set to Tower frequency, Comm. set to Ground frequency, P.A. Light Bar controls. And, with practice, you learn to listen to all of them, at the same time.

At the very top are two essentials of any good Ops. vehicle: Coffee cup, and spare 35mm camera lens.

I love my job.

Alright, all the epic aviation pics from @Auspuff inspired me... had this 10-hour sunset out the window of my recent LHR-SAN British Airways flight. Left London just before 2pm and arrived in San Diego just after 4, so the sun never left the horizon all the way across the Atlantic and the North American continent.

Super cool flight all around, getting to ride one of BA's slowly dying fleet of 744s (this particular one was a 25 year old airframe!), and having a last-row window seat, had a pretty good contrail show for several hours.

Edit: Just saw you earlier shot...Airport Ops! Nice. The guys that keep the rest of us safe.

I have noticed, pushing back the Max, that pilots are always in a hurry to start up, as the engine start takes a bit longer than most aircraft.

I had a series of them a couple of years ago, and they improved my mobility a lot.
My problem now, like you I believe, is I spend a lot of time driving for work. I do make a conscious effort to walk as much as possible to counter-act that.

Thanks, this past couple isn't very effective at all. I'm gonna start pushing for an MRI this year to make sure they're even targeting the proper things. You are correct, at least part of it is indeed from thousands of hours bouncing around in the cab of light trucks and cars, unloading half of the trucks contents manually, arthritis, and a slightly more than normal curve to the spine. It all became a problem by my mid 40s.
