They were tried here. They kept getting stolen, painted, and bought by pawn shops for twenty bucks. If a pawn shop refused to buy, they were simply discarded all over town. Now they're gone altogether.

It was a private company that tried it. If yours are backed by the city they'll likely stay around for a while since profit isn't an issue.

The cycle lanes are backed by the council but i think the bikes might be a private venture i'm not sure at the moment. there are places in coventry where they will be stolen :eek: who ever own's them will make no diffrence :rollno:

Good luck with that. They tend to get strewn about town, stolen, destroyed, etc.
I have just googled it the bike hire is council owned lets see what happen's will keep you all posted :thumbsup:
