This is a beautiful time of year in the woods. This old oak is estimated over 400 years old. Got to wonder who has passed by. I have found Native American arrow heads nearby.

Sounds indeed like just what you needed. Beautiful.Had a lot of c£&@ to deal with recently so took a day off for myself. Decided to find Robert The Bruce’s cave in Rosslyn Glen. If that sounds familiar its probably because of Rosslyn Chapel made famous in the Da Vinci Code. Hardly anyone goes here. In an hour and a half I saw no-one. Found the cave, waterfalls, Celtic carvings and ancient woodland. On the way back I managed to creep up on 3 young deer. I was 10 feet away before they realised and ran off. Magical morning and just what I needed.

I then got back to town discovered I’d lost one of the lenses from my glasses and have 2 slow punctures on my car. Some days you just have to laugh at the universe!Sounds indeed like just what you needed. Beautiful.

They actually look sporty from that angle. There were a couple in my street when I was a kid. Also Ford Capris and Triumph Dolomites, IIRC.A Triumph Herald made in Coventry View attachment 5265472There used to be a lot of these around back in the day
