Traben Chaos

I've never played one. However, I have noticed
that they don't seem to be too popular around
here.

I don't know if it has to do with the ugly bridges
or something about materials and construction.

Sorry I can't help,

Tabdog

they don't get a lot of love on this forum for some reason.....the Chaos is a good middle of the road bass....the problem came when Hanser Music bought them out and moved production to Veitnam and China....the later built models were spotty at best......however if you can get your hands on a Korean made model they are fantastic basses for the money

John Moyer of Disturbed and Greg Weeks of the Red Chord used to have signature Chaos edition basses

no one is exactly quite sure if the company is even in business anymore...

I have noticed that some of the old Traben Models now have the B.C. Rich name on the headstock (as They are also owned by Hanser Music)

I have three of them and the Korean made basses are on par or better than just about anything in their price range as far as fit and finish..

It seems a lot of people couldn't get passed the Sonic art bridges...But IMHO the sonic art bridge makes more points of contact with the body and in the case of mine seems to add a bit of sustain to my notes...YMMV

if you want one and it's Korean made I say Rock it and who cares what the head stock says...

the Chaos Core is a better bass...as it has two Rockfield® humbuckers paired wth an Aguilar OBP-3 pre-amp
