Trace Elliot & 15 Combo can I use an external 15 inch cab as well?

I'm thinking about picking up a 2003 Trace 7 15 200 watt combo, I already own an an 8ohm 15 inch Trace cab. The combo has a combination speakon speaker output as per picture. My question is using a splitter cable can I plug in both the internal and my external speakers? Sorry for the noob question and thanks. Oh he wants $250 for the combo, good deal?

If the internal speaker is also 8 ohms and the splitter cable is constructed so that both speakers are wired parallel then yes you can...

Actually, you could also do this if the speaker cable wired the two speakers in series - regardless of what the internal speaker impedance is, although you wouldn't want to do it in practise you wouldn't blow anything.

The only scenario you need to avoid is wiring a 4 ohm speaker and 8 ohm speaker in parallel because your amp won't be stable into impedances less than 4 ohms
