Adviseable? Just added a 1518 to my Series 6 GP7 200W head and 1153 rig... As discussed in this - the 1518 is supposed to be not just heavier and bigger but also able to handle more power... think it's advisable to combine them as the two outputs to the gp7 head? is it a problem that one can handle more?
Here's what I remember of the specs on the head:
Series 6 GP7 (200W) head
from what I remember 200W RMS, text wiped off back over time
minimum 4 ohms impedance
According to https://www.talkbass.com/threads/trace-elliot-1153.252787/ thread, these are the specs for the two cabinets:
1153:
Impedance: 8 ohms
Frequency Response: 32Hz - 5kHz.
Dimensions: H 610mm (24.6in)
W 480mm (16.9in)
D 430mm (16.9in)
Weight 1153- 27.1Kg (59.7 lbs)
1518:
1x15" 300 watt RMS 1x15" cabinet
Impedance 8 ohms
Frequency Response 32Hz - 6kHz
Dimensions: H 700mm (27.6in)/ W 610mm (24in)/ D 430mm (17in)
Weight: 37.4Kg (82.4 lbs)
Does anyone understand the difference between 1153 and 1153T and 1518 and 1518T and know which I have of each?
Thanks!
