Trace Elliot Elf to replace Ashdown EB180

Hi There, i am currently using an Ashdown Electric Blue 180 combo with a 15" speaker. We have a 5 piece blues/ rock cover band and usually play in smallish venues to about 100 - 150 people. The Ashdown amp is perfect for this but is giving trouble. I am thinking of buying the Trace Elliot Elf and pairing it with the existing 15" speaker from the Ashdown amp. I have 2 concerns. Is the little Trace Elliot going to be powefull enough to replace the Ashdown amp and will the speaker be compatible...im not clever with tech stuff! PS. Im using a passive bass 1983 Daion powermark xx

If the Ashdown is 180 watts the Elf should do fine. I would try one out with your Ashdown first to see, if you can. I have the Elf and have repeatedly been asked to turn down on small gigs.
