Got the V4 combo back, all is well. Tube socket needed replacement. Also one of the fuses I thought looked ok was not. Small break in it, very difficult to see. Any V series owners with no sound problems check all of the fuses carefully ( may need a magnifying glass ). Very happy with amp tech, low cost and thorough. Thanks again for the helpful input, will post some pics soon.

nice! Glad to hear it's all good. What's nice with older tube amps like these is that issues, once located that is, are usually relatively simple fixes. They're like old 70s muscle cars, when engines were just engines before the days of onboard computers. But I find like those older cars, they kind of also require a constant eye on them if not standard semi-annual maintenance. Especially if you're gigging with it night after night. At least IME. Enjoy it bro!

That is awesome to hear (no pun intended). I learned a long time ago to test fuses with a meter. I have seen fuses have a break at the end cap where you can't see it. Embarrassment it a mean teacher
