I just traded a 2008 Fender American Standard Jazz 5er for a 90's G&L ASAT. Loving it so far, lots of sound variation, very comfortable to play.

Was this bass on craigslist ? If so I've been eyeing this bass for a while, offered up my P Bass for it and the guy said he needed to sell it.....If you end up wanting to get rid of it and trade for a Mint 08 USA P bass hit me up...

Good score! Some people love the ASAT, some don't. I have one I bought neww 16 years ago and it's still a favorite... Congrats!

The least comfortable bass I've ever played! I tried one the other day, again just to see if the semi hollow I had was the problem. Nope, all ASATs neck dive like bananas

I went with the LB-100 or just get a L2000 with a #6 neck.

Nitrofix -- Yes mine was the White Jazz 5er. It's another Great bass that I really liked, but I'm no-longer playing 5ers. Now everytime I pick up a 5 string I get confused, so they all must go.

Hey Skid, yeah I had a feeling that was yours, as soon as I saw you got the Asat I was going to get ahold of you about your Jazz then put 2 and 2 together. Again if you want to trade your Asat for a mint 08' P Bass hit me up...Take Care

Really? Mine must be different. It is the only bass I own that doesn't neck dive.
