Trades or sales that you totally regret ?

I thought this would be a cool discussion. I'm usually happy with the trades or sales I make, but every once in a while I find myself wanting the old ones back. For whatever reason. Here are my current top three
1) Grey Stache which I traded for a RatTail. Now, I love the RatTail but really missed the GS. I tried some other muff based fuzz while it was gone but, no dice. I recently took advantage of a prymaxe sale and got it back. And its just as awesome as I remembered.

2) Selling my Rusty to buy a BDPG. They are both great pre-amps. But very different. I love the bdpg but i really miss that rusty sound. I'll be buying another withijn the next few weeks.

3) Selling my SG bass for cash toward the Skyline decade. I wanted to mod the SG with darkstar pick-ups from the day I got it, so when I read about the chi-sonics in the decades I went for it. Even though the Lakland is hands down my favorite bass Ive ever owned, I miss the short scales and warm growl of the Sg and the stock pu's. Maybe I'll get my hands on a vintage eb-3 one day.

So lets hear it. Im sure im not the only one to make a trade that didn't work out as I thought it would.

Most of the pedals I regretted selling I bought again... Like the Boss OC2 and Subdecay Noisebox. Even if they come off my pedalboard I know I'll keep them after the 1st time around.

There are 2 that I can think of...

1 - Tech21 Red Ripper - I can buy this again easy as its readily available but I LOVE the sound and constantly think about buying it again.

2 - 3Leaf Groove Regulator - I REALLY miss this filter. I now use a WMD Super FatMan which is amazing and I thought one filter on the board (plus a sweeps le low pass) would be enough. The WMD is a keeper, but I do miss the 3Leaf's tone.

There is a 3rd, but only I'm a financial level. I had a Deep Impact which I sold for £80 about 8 years ago which was the going rate. I regret selling it as I'd like to sell it at today's going rate!! I wouldn't keep as personally I didn't dig it at all... But I'd like the financial gain

Selling my T-rex Moller but in the end my fuzzrocious pedals meet my requirements for all my tones so it doesn't bother me as much these days. Still a great pedal for blending dirty and clean tones together.

I regret trading my Jackson Dinky guitar, for which I received a Line 6 AM4. The rip-off stings me to this day, to such an extent that I now harbor a deep hatred for Line 6 and all of its products. The only product that has, in recent years, changed my tone was the Spider Valve mk. II. It is a good amp, but because it's Line 6, and because it costs a lot of money, I don't see myself buying one.

Pedal trade regrets: any product I've ever traded to Guitar Center.

I had to sell my 1982 G&L SB-2JJ after my surgery in 2010. The tone of that ugly little thing smoked even my Wal!

Effects wise, I'd say I wish I had kept my modified Foxx Fuzz/Wah and found somebody to rehouse it. The only issue I have with the Foxx is the housing, the effect itself kicked tons-o-booty!

Now I doubly regret the Foxx decision because I messaged Dennis Dunaway about the wah he used in Alice Cooper and it was the Foxx Fuzz/Wah.

Either of my Stambaugh 6's and an Elrick fret less 5 with pink ivory board. Maybe a Pedulla MVP.

I miss my Warwick Corvette with ACG EQ02 preamp and EMG JX pickups. Although I do love my Ernie Ball Big Al SSS though.

I miss my Strymon TimeLine a whole lot. I may have to replace it.

A vintage 1978 Original big box Rat. Jesus. I bought it off a dude here in Nashville for REALLY cheap and sold it for an insane profit, but that had to have been one of the best crushingly heavy tones I've ever heard (next to a Megalith. HAR HAR). I want it back, but there's NO way I'll ever find one again, at least that is affordable. That and the Super FatMan, but somehow the same one I sold came back up and I got it back. YESH.

I had an old BC Rich Eagle that I gigged with for many years. This one had the "Rico" inlays on the headstock, neckthru construction, and twin Bassline "P" pickups. It was beat to crap, had a broken headstock repair and looked absolutely horrible. Playability and tonewise it was off the charts. I sold it in 2006, however during a fit of depression (long long story...) and miss it terribly every time I do a gig these days. Okey dokey, enough of the sappy crappy. BTW, if anyone happens to have it I WANT IT BACK

I regret the day I packed my heavily modded Lakland 55-01D and sent it to Florida. I had an 18V Bart NTMB preamp and a pair of Nordy Big Singles installed in it. It sounded HUGE but I was overcome with GAS and succumbed to it. Man, I miss that bass.

Sold an original WMD FatMan. It did indeed have a "fat" tone; like an original Mu-Tron but not exactly. Original FatMans (FatMen?) are really hard to find now, and I didn't like the modulation on the Super FatMan at all.
