Transparent amp head

If you were to look a transparent head, wich of the modern amps would you check?
I love my aguilar TH500 head, but i feel it's only for the vintage sound. My p bass is happy with it, but my yamaha TRB dosent come out just as well...
Thoughts?

Genzler Magellan 350 or 800. With some knob twisting of the 800 you can go from your instrument clean to into the TH tone.
