treatments for unfinished basement

So my girlfriend, our toddler and I just approved for a new duplex. The duplex has a large unfinished basement (nice unfinished not dirt floor). I'm planning on doing at least enough acoustic treatments to allow useful rehearsals if not recordings, and I might be in a position to spend a little money. I'm looking for link and advice on acoustic treatment options.

Requirements as follows:
Live Recording quartets (jazz, blues, rock, etc 8 channel max basically)
As mobile as possible hecause its a rental property
It'd be nice to have some sound isolation without actual isolation booths

I understand vocals would be an issue and might need a booth and will consider that as I'm building.

Any diy links to bass traps etc that work well, tips on room setup, suggested materials, and any other advice would be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance! I will post things I find online or otherwise as I'm doing other research.
