Double Bass Trevor Davis Basses

Has anyone had experience with Trevor Davis basses, particularly the Ceruti model?

I suggest a trip to New Mexico. If you are going to commission a bass then, you owe it to yourself to play some basses and talk to the maker. Trevor is an enthusiastic, skilled and well regarded maker. I have heard two of his basses, both sounded great. Great players helped. I have not seen or heard the Ceruti model, beyond passing at ISB and am also unaware of your musical interest, size, and experience. A trip to meet him and play some basses would ascertain which model is most suitable, and if you like his basses.

That thread link is to my post, and I still love the bass. Trevor is passionate and extremely knowledgeable about his craft. If his basses speak to you, you can’t go wrong.

Thanks Doubleyourbass! I'd also like to thank everyone who responded to my query. I'm in the process of setting up an appointment with Trevor to replace the bridge on my Jay Haida bass next week. He's in Austin now which is great. I never would have known but for this site. Thanks again to everyone!
