Hey, I'd appreciate any help y'all can offer.

I bought a TASCAM DR-05 a while back. I've made some test recordings around the house, and transferred them to my computer with no problem.

So this past weekend I took it to the club and recorded a couple sets of my band. Played the recordings back on the built-in speaker, and listened on ear buds as well. No prob.

So I connect it to the computer with the USB cable, just the same as I'd done before...and the recorder doesn't show up in the My Computer screen. Tried several times; no good.

Took the recorder to work, and tried it on my office 'puter. No good there, either.

Anybody run into this?

Does it attempt to install the device driver at all, or does nothing pop up? It could be that the USB port on it has gone south.

Nothing comes up, at all. The USB port on the DR-05, you mean? Hmn...FWIW the screen on the DR-05 says "USB connected."

Added: I've plugged stick drives into the port on the computer, so I know that works.
